Once more we examine what activity, if any, is taking place within the Schrodinger portfolio. For new readers the Schrodinger is a Robo Advisor portfolio or one that is managed by computer. The Schrodinger is housed with Schwab and is designated as an Intelligent Portfolio. Since the last review the only changes is the amount of cash available as third quarter dividends flowed into the portfolio.
Schrodinger Asset Allocation
Below readers will find the current asset allocations for the Schrodinger. I’ve made two requests of Schwab based on the ultra high market.
- Remove the request to limit investments in developed and emerging markets. This will shift assets from U.S. Equities to International Equities. This is exactly what Schwab wanted to do when I first set up the Schrodinger.
- Reduce the percentage allocated to equities and increase the percentage allocated to low volatility securities. Again, this was the initial advice from Schwab.
Schrodinger Performance Data
Since 12/31/2021 the Schrodinger has outperformed all benchmarks tracked here at ITA. This includes the S&P 500 (SPY). Besting the S&P 500 is a very high bar.
During the poor equities market of 2022 the owner of the Schrodinger took advantage of dollar-cost-averaging. Shares purchased during that low period are now producing considerable growth.
Schrodinger Risk Ratios
Overall, the Schrodinger is performing extremely well. Once we clear November of 2024 the slope of the Jensen Performance Index will likely turn positive.
