Some traders will get a break on Monday. Just not the ones who deal in stocks.

U.S. bond markets will close Monday, Oct. 13, in observance of Columbus Day, which in some places is observed as Indigenous Peoples Day. Stock markets, meanwhile, are set to remain open.

Bond markets will close again on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. As for the rest of the holiday trading schedule:

    • Stock and bond markets will close Thursday, Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving; bond markets will close the following day at 2 p.m., while stock markets will close at 1 p.m.
    • They will both also close Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas; bond markets will close at 2 p.m. the previous day, while stock markets will close at 1 p.m.
    • And they will close Thursday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day; bond markets will close at 2 p.m. the previous day.
